Physical inventory count is an arduous task whether you do it once a
year or on a cycle c ount
basis. Under the best of circumstances, it is a time consuming function
with results that may be less than accurate.
Automated Physical Inventory allows you to do complete or cycle counts
using a hand-held data terminal with an attached laser scanner to read
the stock items.
During the physical inventory the item ID can be recorded by scanning it
from a bin label or from the item label itself. The quantity may
be entered by using the keypad on the data terminal or by scanning the
quantity from the item label. Bin location and lot number may also be
entered, if required.
