EDI is designed to process purchase orders, confirmation and shipping information, invoices, payments, and other transactions directly from one computer to another, utilizing a Value Added Network (VAN).  As such, it is a “paperless” method for communicating transactions between buyer and seller.

IST’s EDI Bridge software moves EDI documents automatically from the EDI translation software into the IST software and vice versa.  For example, this product will allow you to pick up a customer purchase order from the EDI translation software an move it directly into the Sales Order file.  Conversely, it will automatically move the purchase order acknowledgement that you wish to transmit to your customer into the EDI translation software for transmission to the customer.
