FreightConnect allows the IST Software to connect with the PC running your UPS Shipping Software.  Through this connection, data can be moved from one system to the other.  When you’ re ready to ship, use FreightConnect to download all the current open orders from the IST Software to the UPS System, enter your shipping information, and then upload the data back to the IST Software.  This action also posts the freight charges and the shipping history.

FreightConnect eliminates the step of having to go into each customer’s order to post UPS charges.  The freight charges are captured at the time you enter information on the shipment and are then used to update the customer’s orders.

FreightConnect updates the shipping history in the IST Software so that all users (PCs and terminals) have access to the shipping information.  This improves customer service by giving all your users access to the shipping information instead of having to rely on stale reports.
